Opal20 – Compact Fast Ethernet Switch with a Robust Design

The Opal20 is an unmanaged DIN-Rail switch with a flexible port combination, offering up to 2 Gigabit ports and 16 Fast Ethernet ports. Thanks to its compact dimensions and simple plug-and-play design, it is ideal for fast and reliable Ethernet connections in demanding industrial environments such as factory automation, petrochemicals, or ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems).

Key Features

  • Ports: These can include up to 2 Gigabit ports (RJ45), 2 100M fiber ports (single-mode or multi-mode), 2 SFP slots, and up to 16 RJ45 ports (10/100M).

  • Design and Durability: A metal chassis with an IP30 rating and an integrated isolated power supply ensures high reliability. Passive cooling and a fanless design guarantee quiet, maintenance-free operation.

  • Power: Support for redundant 12-48 VDC / 18-30 VAC power inputs with protection against reverse polarity and overvoltage ensures continuous operation.

  • Operating Temperatures: Models are available for a standard operating temperature of -10 °C to +60 °C.

  • Performance: The switch is optimized for low-power data transfer, with consumption not exceeding 8 W at full load (for selected variants). The Opal20 model does not support the Jumbo Frame function.

  • Installation: Easy mounting on a DIN rail or panel.

Therefore, to order a Kyland switch, you need to build an ordering code from the available port, connector, and power options.
