Opal5GL – Compact Gigabit Switch with a Robust Design

The Opal5GL is an unmanaged DIN-Rail switch with up to 5 ports, offering a full Gigabit interface. Thanks to its compact size and simple plug-and-play design, it's ideal for fast and reliable Ethernet connections in demanding industrial environments such as factory automation, petrochemicals, or ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems).

  • Ports: Depending on the selected variant, the switch can have 1 SFP port and 4 Gigabit RJ45 ports (10/100/1000Base-TX), or 5 Gigabit RJ45 ports (10/100/1000Base-TX).

  • Design and Durability: A metal chassis with an IP40 rating and an integrated isolated power supply ensures high reliability. Passive cooling and a fanless design guarantee quiet, maintenance-free operation.

  • Power: Support for redundant 12-48 VDC/18-30 VAC power inputs with protection against reverse polarity and overvoltage ensures continuous operation.

  • Operating Temperatures: Models are available for a standard operating temperature of -10 °C to +60 °C (-E) and an extended temperature of -40 °C to +75 °C.

  • Performance: The switch is optimized for data transfer with low power consumption, reaching only 4.3 W at full load. The Jumbo Frame function supports data frame transmission up to 9 KB in size.

  • Installation: Easy mounting on a DIN rail or panel.
