eLINK – support for remote video transmission

The eBOX-3625 computer is equipped with a built-in eLINK video signal converter that enables video transmission over distances of up to 100 m. A standard HDMI cable allows video transmission only over short distances and often does not ensure stable and high-quality image transmission. In industrial environments, the situation becomes even worse due to the omnipresent electromagnetic interference, which negatively affects transmission reliability. Another complication is the need for functional touch control when a touch monitor is connected. This is usually implemented via USB or serial cables, which cannot be effectively used over longer distances.

The eLINK technology offers a solution that enables transmission of both video signals and touch control signals over distances of up to 100 meters. Transmission is performed via Ethernet cable (CAT5 or higher) and supports HD DVI video resolution 1920 x 1080@60Hz, including USB or Serial signals required for touch monitor control. For the eBOX-3625 computer, two video transmission scenarios are defined:

Connection 1. eBOX-3625 + NODKA monitor

The eLINK-200 converter is integrated in the eBOX-3625 industrial computer and is connected via Ethernet to a NODKA industrial monitor that has an integrated eLINK receiver.

Connection 2. industrial computer eBOX-3620 + eLINK-RVL + monitor

The eLINK-200 converter is integrated in the eBOX-3625 industrial computer and via Ethernet is connected to a remote eLINK-200 converter, to which any industrial monitor with an HDMI interface can be connected via HDMI cable. The monitor can also be a touch monitor with touch control via USB.
