The OPC Router is a modular system that consists of the Basic module and plug-in modules. Your choice of plug-in modules depends on where from and where to you need to transfer data. A single OPC Router PC installation requires the Basic module and at least one plug-in module. You also need to purchase the Year 1 Support & Maintenance package for the first year. When it has expired or during the first year, you can purchase Support & Maintenance for subsequent years.

Basic Module of the OPC Router

The Basic module is the main component of the OPC Router. Depending on what systems you want to interconnect, you also need the corresponding plug-in module(s). The Basic module features:

  • A calculator for advanced mathematical functions
  • The capability of storing/using your own variables and defining your own constant values
  • Text replacement
  • Local communication with .XML/.JSON/.CSV files (read, write and delete operations)
  • A time trigger
  • C# scripting

Implementing the OPC Router

The OPC Router features drag & drop configuration, exemplary monitoring and extreme reliability, paving the way for your Industry 4.0.

Benefits of the OPC Router

The OPC Router enables you to optimise and digitalise your production processes by interconnecting such systems as OPC UA, OPC DA, SAP, MES, ERP, SQL, MQTT, REST, SOAP, Excel, labellers and other systems and by exchanging data from them.

  • The latest middleware with standard interfaces for data exchange
  • Data exchange between various OT and IT systems

Available OPC servers

OPC servers in OPC Router are used to connect control systems and other devices over OPC UA, OPC DA 4.0, or OPC XML.
To connect an OPC server, you must purchase a Module OPC license.

Available database servers

Database servers must be installed separately and are not part of the OPC Router installation. The OPC Router supports the following database systems:

  • MS SQL
  • Oracle
  • MySQL
  • MS Access
  • XMLdatabases accessible by ODBC

Plug-ins for connecting database systems are not part of the Basic license, but you need to purchase the appropriate plug-in separately.

SAP-Plug in

The SAP Plug-in supports SAP systems version 4.0b and higher. For functionality, you need to have the so-called
SAP Log-on pad installed on the server where the OPC Router is running.
The SAP Plug-in is licensed and is not part of the Basic license.
