Diagnostics of PROFINET Networks

PROFINET network diagnostics are part of regular preventive maintenance of your production lines

A FOXON technician will help you diagnose, locate and, if possible, fix faults on your PROFINET RT network.

What will you get?

• Using all the values measured, we will create a detailed PDF report in Czech (or English if requested) for you. The report will include:
  
  • Information about the site measured (the name and description of the segment measured)
  • LiveList – a list of all the stations taking part in communication on the network and their descriptions
  • Statistics showing basic communication information and error messages for each station on the network
  • Time-stamped error and diagnostic messages and lost telegrams
  • A record of communication with regard to telegrams, containing a description of detected problems
  • A diagnostic report on CPU data (only for SIEMENS CPUs) – provided on request; requires free access to the CPU program

What are the prerequisites for performing the PROFINET diagnostics offered?

• The presence of a person knowledgeable about the site (i.e. the production line and the industrial network) during the actual analysis
• There must be at least one available port of a switch set as mirror port for connecting an analyser. The absence of this port does not enable us to measure a segment while the production line is in operation. The port is not absolutely essential if production can be shut down for a while and the PROFINET cable disconnected as near to the CPU as possible.

The price for the Diagnostics of PROFINET includes

• Up to 7 hours of PROFINET diagnostics performed at a customer's site (i.e. one company address)
• An unlimited number of reports created, depending on the complexity and number of the networks measured

Please note: The price does not include the accommodation and travel associated with the callout. There is a charge of 13 CZK/km (excl. VAT). We will include these costs in our quote for you depending on your location.
