The Deltalogic OPC Server for the Siemens Simatic S5/S7 PLCs is a software program that allows you to transfer data (i.e. to perform read/write operations) from the Siemens SIMATIC S7-1500, S7-1200, S7-200, S7-300, S7- 400, LOGO!, WinAC PLC, C7 and M7 controllers to OPC client, via the OPC protocol.

The Deltalogic OPC Server enables communication with the Simatic S7-200/-300/-400 PLCs via Ethernet through the ACCON NetLink PRO adapter. The adapter is the perfect TCP/IP adapter for the Simatic PLCs that don't have the TCP/IP interface (they must have a free MPI/PROFIBUS/PPI port).

The Deltalogic OPC DA Server supports the import of variables from STEP7 projects. If you have your STEP7 project at your disposal, simply import it into the server. You'll then be able to display all configured addresses in it and perform read/write operations in OPC client. The list of all the addresses can further be edited in the .TXT file.

Please note: If you're going to create or edit OPC items in an alias file, we recommend that you follow the instructions in Online Help (the chapter Syntax Items). In some cases, there can be an I/O communication problem as the server supports German terminology (E/A) instead of English terminology (I/O) – e.g. I2.0 = E2.0, IB2 = EB2, Q1.0 = A1.0, QB1 = AB1.

Deltalogic OPC Server Licencing:

The Deltalogic OPC Server can be licenced via a hardware key or a software licence.

If possible, we recommend the hardware key as it allows licence transfer to another computer.

The software licence can't be transferred to another PC. If there is a machine failure, you can have your licence restored. (Important: Deltalogic provides only 2 instances of such licence restore).

Migration from a software licence to a hardware key is supported by version 4.1x only.

Migration from version 3.x/4.0 to 4.1x is only possible within 5 years of purchasing a licence.

IMPORTANT: As of 2013, there is different Deltalogic OPC Server Licencing. The versions below are NOT compatible.
