Manufacturing Suite pro KEPServerEX OPC Server poskytuje ucelenou sestavu ovladačů za přijatelnou cenu. Získáte přístup ke všem standardním ovladačům pro použití na jednom PC/stroji. Manufacturing Suite umožňuje automatické připojení k zařízením ve výrobě, číst a zapisovat data z/do těchto zařízení a plně integrovat data do HMI, SCADA, MES, Historian nebo ERP systémů. Výhodou Kepware software je rychlé nastavení, snadné použití, vysoká spolehlivost a bezchybné fungování.

KEPServerEX přináší jedinečnou architekturu pro sady ovladačů a jakékoliv další ovladače přidané do sad - jeden komunikační server pro správu, jeden jmenný prostor a jedna sada diagnostiky.

Upozornění:

Od 15. 11. 2016 platí nová pravidla poskytování technické podpory společností Kepware.
Podrobný popis je na záložce Pravidla Aktualizace licencí.

Tzv. aktualizace licence je povinnou součástí zakoupené licence produktu. Při zakoupení licence Kepware produktu (např. OPC serveru) je "jednoroční aktualizace" automaticky vložena do košíku.

Součástí programu "aktualizace" je i obnova licence v případě, že dojde k poruše počítače, na kterém je Kepware produkt zaregistrován. Pokud vlastníte licenci bez platné "aktualizace", musíte si při takové ztrátě licence nejdříve zakoupit "Aktualizaci licence po záruce" - teprve potom Vám bude licence společností Kepware obnovena.

Licencování

Všechny produkty Kepware lze odemknout dvěma způsoby:

  • přes software kód (SW licence)
  • přes USB hardware klíč

 

Odemknutí přes software kód
Po zakoupení licence od nás obržíte číslo licence, na základě kterého vygenerujete v programu License Activation Utility soubor activation_request.txt. Tento soubor nám zašlete a do 24hod od nás obdržíte soubor response.txt, který nahrajete do licenčního manageru (v rámci urychlení času se můžete sami zaregistrovat na stránkách www.kepware.com a na základě licenčního čísla a activation_request.txt automaticky získat soubor response.txt). Tímto způsobem odemknete demo verzi programu do plné licence.
Výhodou SW kódu je rychlost získání licence - číslo licence generuje přímo Kepware USA a vzhledem k časovému posunu obdržíme licenci zhruba kolem 15hod našeho času. V urgentních případech jsme schopni Vám zaslat licenci ve stejný den, kdy jsme obdrželi objednávku.
Jistou nevýhodou může být omezená možnost použití licence na jiném počítači. Licenci jde samozřejmě přenést na jiné PC, ale v případě nefunkčního harddisku licenci nepřenesete a máte proto možnost použít "Emergency ID" na 7 dní provozu. Během této doby máte možnost nás kontaktovat a vyžádat si podporu pro přenos licence na nový počítač - tato služba je dostupná pouze v případě platné "aktualizace licence".

 

Odemknutí přes USB hardware klíč
Odemknutí licence přes USB klíč znamená pro uživatele větší volnost při přenášení licence mezi více počítači. USB klíč zasunete do počítače, v licenčním manageru nahrajete certifikační soubor a OPC Server je od té chvíle odemčený. V případě přenosu licence na jiný počítač provedete na novém počítači stejný postup. Vámi zakoupené licence jsou generovány pro ID číslo USB klíče, tzn. USB klíč neobsahuje žádné licence a licenci do počítače nahrajete právě přes certifikační soubor. Tento způsob Vám umožňuje dokupovat na stejný klíč další licence OPC Serverů nebo jiných Kepware programů.
Výhodou je možnost svobodně přenášet licence mezi počítači.
Nevýhodou je nutnost připlatit za USB klíč a možné fyzické odcizení USB klíče z počítače.

 

Upozornění platná pro všechny licence:

  • Všechny typy licencí jsou určeny pro použití na jednom počítači v jednom okamžiku.
  • Pro Terminal Services nedoporučujeme licencování HW klíčem, ale pouze SW licence !!!
  • Nelze kombinovat SW a HW licence na jednom počítači. Každá další licence musí být stejného typu jako již existující (tj. vedle SW licence lze přidávat pouze další SW licence).
  • Licence platí pouze pro příslušnou verzi produktu vydanou v době zakoupení licence (na vyšší verzi nefunguje a přejde do demo-režimu).
  • Pro přidání dalšího produktu KEPServerEX je nutné mít aktivní „Aktualizaci licence“, aby bylo možno použít aktuální verzi  Kepserveru pro všechny licence.
  • Ztráta HW klíče (resp. PC s aktivovanou SW licencí) představuje ztrátu hodnoty licencí na něm nesenou. Ze zřejmých důvodů není možné žádat o nový klíč jako náhradu za klíč ztracený bez uhrazení plné ceny licencí.

New Keyence KV Ethernet driver

  • Access seamless, secure, and reliable data exchanged between OPC clients and KEYENCE KV series PLCs using the Host Link communications protocol over both the TCP and UDP transport layers. Connect between KEYENCE KV series PLCs and diverse devices and software applications for real-time read/write connectivity.

Enhanced CRUD Functionality for the Configuration API

  • Load full projects from a mapped file directory, create an object with a child hierarchy in a single transaction, create multiple objects in a single transaction, and remotely trigger saves to any instance of KEPServerEX. Make bulk changes to the configuration and trigger ATG remotely, enabling faster changes on larger projects and more efficient interactions with projects and configurations.

Time Sync Functionality for Drivers with EFM Capabilities

  • Set a custom threshold to ensure no time synchronization occurs unless a specific deviation limit is exceeded, and configure time synchronization to occur only after an EFM poll. Create custom controls for time synchronization without opening up additional communications with the device. Reduce network traffic, easily control when a time synchronization occurs, and reduce the need for human intervention in time synchronization.

Remote Project Loading with ThingWorx®

  • Import a KEPServerEX project from a local file store and push the project down to any connected instance of KEPServerEX. Easily adjust network settings and deploy KEPServerEX projects remotely—while managing all machine instances from a single ThingWorx platform interface.

    • Requires using the export files produced by the TIA Portal Exporter Utility. The installer for this utility is included with the Siemens TCP/IP Ethernet driver.
    • TIA Portal versions supported: TIA Portal V13 SP1, TIA Portal V13 SP2, TIA Portal V14.

  • Two new options are available during Vertical Suite Selection for installs on a machine that does not currently have KEPServerEX.
    • Typical: Select this option to install all drivers and advanced plug-ins.
    • Custom: Select this option to specify which drivers and advanced plug-ins to install.
Server Administration
  • Fixed an issue where the CORS Allowed Origins string could be truncated.
  • User Manager now provides more granular control over project modification user permissions. The refined permission functionality can be applied to users who are configuring the server through either the Server Configuration user interface or the Configuration API service.
  • The server was upgraded to the latest available version of OpenSSL.
  • Server Configuration
  • Fixed slow loading times for projects with high tag group counts.
  • Signed exponents are supported for JSON load.
  • Fixed an issue where exporting large scaling values would result in the number being expressed in scientific notation and losing decimal precision.

ThingWorx Native Client Interface
  • Introduced a new connection mechanism that is enabled by default. In this mode, the server will bind directly with Remote Things when transferring data to ThingWorx.
  • Fixed an issue where Statistics tags would update at a much faster rate than configured. Statistics tags now follow the configured update rate.
  • Significantly improved performance in Legacy Mode to support 10k updates per second.
  • In Legacy Mode, the KEPServerEX event log now exports to ThingWorx.
OPC UA Server
  • Fixed an issue where the OPC UA server could not resolve _InternalTags.
  • Fixed a browse response issue where BrowseName was populated with FullName.
  • Resolved an issue where the server responded with an error even though the correct path was used in a TranslateBrowsePathsToNodeIds request.
  • Escaped spaces in OPC UA URLs caused issues for certain clients when connecting with security. Upgrading from 6.0 to 6.1 requires re-issuing certificates to fix. Upgrading from V5.X to 6.1 re-issues the certificate automatically.
  • Fixed an issue where the UA Server included a Data Change Filter extension object in CreateMonitoredItem and ModifyMonitoredItem responses. It now encodes as an empty extension object.
NIO/PDB Toolkit
  • Resolved a defect introduced in a previous release where the server was not correctly cleaning up the iFIX Native Interface. This would leave parts of iFIX Database Manager running and prevent it from closing correctly or reopening.
Configuration API
  • The Event Log can now be retrieved via a REST call. See help for details on configurable parameters.
  • Online help page now generates reference for Advanced Plug-ins and dynamic properties.
  • Project Properties can now be configured through the API.
  • Added support for the IoT Gateway.

Configuration API

Licensing
  • The Server Runtime no longer requires a restart when applying a new license.
  • When using unlicensed features, a timer specific to that feature is started. Server operation continues after that feature timer expires.
  • Added new system tags that provide detailed information on license status:
    • _TimeLimitedFeatures: A list of all features that are or have been used and have a timer counting down (including the remaining time).
    • _ExpiredFeatures: A string array providing a list of features with expired timers.

  • Removed the _IsDemo system tag.
  • Streamlined and simplified product licensing, now providing details about what is licensed, license status, and products eligible for upgrade.

  • Resolved two issues with AL-type signal conditioning. The upper boundary limit check now respects Engineering Units High Limit for Analog Input Blocks (tags) and alarm conditions now display correctly instead of showing NO DATA.
OPC UA Server Interface
  • Fixed an issue where a server runtime deadlock could occur when simultaneously processing both a read request and a browse request.

ThingWorx Native Client Interface
  • Initial release of the ThingWorx native client interface, which enables bi-directional communication using the ThingWorx® AlwaysOn™ protocol.   • The OPC Core Components are now installed when the OPC Quick Client is installed. This allows the OPC Quick Client to browse remote servers if that is the only component installed.
  • The install will now notify users when another application is using the Sentinel HASP hardware key. In order for the Hardware Key to be properly installed, it requires that all Sentinel HASP hardware keys be disabled while the install is running.
Application Report
  • The Application Report Utility now gathers more information to enable the Technical Support team to better assist users needing support.
    • The utility was enhanced to collect running and core dumps for the KEPServerEX application.
    • The utility now gathers more diagnostic information about the system, including networking, .NET versions, and information pertaining to product licensing and DCOM settings.
    • The utility now remembers the last archive location and allows users to cancel an archive generation in progress.

Server Configuration
  • Enhanced the tag browser to support both filtering of system and internal tags as well as bulk addition of tags from the branch level.
  • Added a status bar that is displayed when tags are moved between devices and tag groups using drag and drop to avoid the appearance of an unresponsive configuration application.
  • Fixed an issue that occurred in multiple File Open dialogs where the directory being referenced became the Current Working Directory in Windows and inhibited the directory from being deleted after the operation.
  • Fixed an issue where overlapping edits were allowed while the progress gauge was being displayed for a previous edit. Now, only one edit is allowed at a time.
  • Changed the Event Log message that indicates when a device was placed in Simulation Mode to tell users to reference the help file to understand how two tags with the same address in a simulated device may be separate tags if the tag scan rate and data types are different. Although this behavior in Simulation Mode is pre-existing, it is unexpected by most users.
  • Fixed an issue where undoing the deletion of a device would not display the tags that existed at time of deletion.
  • Removed leading or trailing whitespace in group names imported through CSV.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed the copying and pasting of a device with an invalid configuration on the last property page. The last page is now verified, and invalid settings are no longer allowed.
Server Runtime
  • Added a _SecondsInError System Tag to the device that shows the number of seconds the device has been in error state (_Error tag equal to 1).
  • Fixed an issue where the configuration and runtime could lock-up when a device was repeatedly enabled and disabled.
Quick Client
  • Added the ability to optionally use the system’s DCOM Configuration settings.

Server Event Log
  • Improved memory and CPU usage when processing large amounts of channel/device diagnostics, OPC diagnostics, and server events.
  • Improved performance and error handling on occasions where the Event Log service and server Configuration were accidently set to use the same port. This could occur with KEPServerEX alone or when KEPServerEX was paired with an OEM on the same machine. Unique system ports are always recommended for each part of the application.
Quick Client
  • Changed the default name of the Quick Client connection to "Quick Client”. This allows Kepware"s support team to easily identify via OPC Diagnostics if a customer is troubleshooting with the Quick Client or another OPC DA client.

The crash was caused by a failure to properly refresh the policy tree after the project had been reset, which resulted in access to project data that no longer existed.

  • Added support for the new device-level "_DemandPoll" System Tag as part of the new Device Demand Poll feature available in this release.
  • Fixed an issue where a server crash could occur if a client removed the server reference while there were still references to a group or groups in the project.
  • Modified the runtime to allow the server to function on offline systems that require cached or online Certificate Revocation List (CRL) validation.

  • As part of the new Device Demand Poll feature available in this release, added the new "Do not scan, demand poll only" option to the Scan Mode setting (located in the Scan Mode tab in Device Properties).
  • Added new a display option to the OPC Diagnostics window. The "Always On Top" option (located in the View menu) forces the OPC Diagnostics window to remain on the top of all other application windows. To match the Channel Diagnostics default setting for similar functionality, deselect this option.
  • Added the following new error messages to better clarify configuration problems related to Connection Sharing:
    • "A connection share pairing on COMis not supported by both drivers"

Install
  • Added a new dialog to the install. The External Dependencies dialog follows the Select Features dialog and is an informational window that indicates that certain features are known to have external dependencies and may require additional action prior to Runtime use.
  • The server installation no longer provides a copy of TcAdsDll.dll or the Beckhoff TwinCAT Remote Manager Utility. Users must obtain the TwinCAT ADS Communication Library from Beckhoff in order to access the tools that are required to configure successful AMS Remote Connections.
  • Resolved an issue with Silent Install mode, where installation to a removable drive failed when using the Hard Drive Check Override.

Server Runtime
Stopped the OPC UA server from returning invalid items in a browse request. It is now consistent with OPC DA item browsing behavior.

Removed mandatory dependency between the Runtime service and TAPI, if it is determined at the time of installation that the TAPI service has been disabled by the user. To disable TAPI after server installation, utilize the Runtime Process tab located in the Server Administration Utility"s Settings dialog and change the Runtime Mode to Interactive and then back to Service. This will remove the dependency.

Added access control checks for client read, write, and browse actions in addition to when using dynamic addressing to add items to the server.

Changed a behavior where the server would switch to the Default Network Adapter if the selected adapter was disconnected or disabled. The server will now continue to use the selected IP. When the server is assigned a static IP, this new behavior allows it to recover if a network adapter is unplugged or disabled.

Server Configuration
dated the Event Viewer to support filtering for the new "Security" event type.

Removed duplicate "Starting device driver" messages from the Event Log. The duplicate message issue was introduced in the 5.11 release.

Install
Added the new Micro800 Ethernet and Serial drivers to the Allen-Bradley Suite section of the Communication Drivers feature tree. These drivers will also be pre-selected for the Manufacturing Suite.

Server Runtime
-Reduced unnecessary memory consumption by waiting to load Internal Tags on demand instead of loading them all at once on startup. The on demand portion is driven by Clients connecting to the server and requesting items. For certain applications this update could yield a 50% reduction in memory use by the runtime.
-Updated the Runtime to require that the Windows TAPI service is a dependency when the Runtime is installed as a service. This change was made to resolve a problem where the Runtime could fail to load after PC reboot if the server project contained serial drivers. The issue was initially identified by internal testing and was seen on Windows 7 operating systems and above.
Server Configuration
-Resolved an issue where pressing the Tab key when focus is in the Channel/Device pane and there are no Channels defined caused the Configuration to crash.
-Fixed a failure to show _Statistics at the device and channel level when working in the alias name dialog and the tag browser.
Install
-Added the IEC 61850 MMS Client driver to the Communication Drivers feature tree. Additionally this driver will be preselected when the Power Distribution Suite is selected earlier in the install.

- Added an option for Bundle Selection. Users can pre-select drivers by market vertical (such as Building Automation) before reaching the installation"s Features list. The default option is "None", which does not preselect drivers. This change is only visible in new installations, and will not be displayed to users that upgrade.

- Removed the "Allow clients to write to system level tags" option from the Runtime Options tab in the Settings dialog. - Streamlined host resolution to eliminate the need for user configuration settings. These settings have been removed from the Server Administration UI. - Fixed an issue where a deadlock could occur in Communications Diagnostics when diagnostics were published from a driver at the same time that a project was automatically saving.
- The Administrator user will now always assume write privileges when logging in from the Server Configuration. Any existing writers (users) will be demoted for as long as the Administrator session is active. Overlapping Administrator logins will always favor the most recent.
Config
- Channel Diagnostics are now referred to as "Communications Diagnostics". As part of this change, Communications Diagnostics can now be displayed at the device level.
- Fixed the font corruption occurring on some non-English OS configurations that was caused by the unexpected destruction of a needed resource. Applied dynamic font replacement to the Device View in order to correct the inconsistent appearance under these same conditions.
- Fixed the following issues in the GUI:
1. Fixed performance issues when processing Runtime updates after Automatic Tag Generation (ATG) completes and includes a large number of nested tag groups.

DCOM (Distributed Component Object Model) je technologie vytvořená firmou Microsoft, umožňující vzdálené sdílení objektů mezi aplikacemi. V praxi to například znamená, že při správném nastavení DCOM funguje komunikace dat mezi OPC servery a OPC klienty na různých počítačích (připojených do stejné sítě).

Pravidla Aktualizace licencí

Aktualizace licencí Kepware produktů - Support & Maintenance Program

Dne 15. 11. 2016 byla vydána nová verze KEPServerEX v6 a zároveň společnost Kepware změnila obchodní politiku podpory produktů. Povinnou součástí zakoupené licence produktu je i tzv. aktualizace licence. Kepware program placené aktualizace licencí (tzv. Support & Maintenance) se týká všech produktů společnosti Kepware - KEPServerEX®, ClientAce®, LinkMaster, RedundancyMaster® a všech ostatních doplňků a ovladačů.

Základní verze poskytuje následující služby po dobu 12 měsíců od zakoupení aktualizace:

  1. Aktualizace produktu - licence umožňuje odemčení nových verzí Kepware SW produktu do plné verze.
  2. Okamžité obnovení licence v případě poruchy počítače, která znemožňuje její přesun obvyklým postupem.
  3. Technickou podporu poskytovanou v níže uvedeném rozsahu.

 

Aktualizace Kepware SW produktů

  • Nové verze KEPServerEX vycházejí cca 4x za rok.
  • Obsahují:
    • opravy chyb a vylepšení stávajících funkcí
    • aktualizace pro podporu nových technologií - OPC rozhraní, firmware zařízení, operační systémy, atd.
    • nové vlastnosti, ovladače a doplňky
  • Zakoupená licence odemyká pouze verze produktu vydané v daném období a další verze již fungují jen jako demo.

 

KEPServerEX verze 5 lze převést na aktuální verzi 6 zakoupením aktualizace licence + provedením přeregistrace a přeinstalace.

KEPServerEX verze 4 a starší již nejsou podporovány a není ani možná jejich aktualizace – jediným řešením je zakoupení nové licence aktuální verze KEPServerEX.

 

Obnova SW licence

  • Součástí programu aktualizace licence je i okamžitá obnova licence v případě, že dojde k poruše počítače, na kterém je Kepware produkt zaregistrován.
  • Společně se zakoupenou licencí je dodávána i tzv. nouzová licence (Emergency ID), která slouží k odemčení produktu mimo pracovní dobu společnosti Kepware na 7 dní, tj. během této doby musí uživatel zažádat o uvolnění licence k novému nasazení.
  • Doporučujeme Vám, abyste si pečlivě uložili licenční čísla (Activation ID + Emergency ID, nebo .LIC soubor) a evidovali konkrétní počítače, na kterých jsou nasazena.

Doba odezvy odpovídá aktuálním možnostem a vytížení pracovníků podpory. Snažíme se odpovědět co nejdříve, obvykle do cca 2 pracovních dní, nebo v závislosti na odezvě z technické podpory Kepware.   • Číslo licence (Activation ID nebo FlexID) produktu, kterého se dotaz týká, a informaci o platné aktualizaci licence.
  • Detailní popis problému (včetně printscreenů, chybových hlášení, atd.).
  • Stručný návod, jak problém zopakovat + informace o změnách před vyskytnutím chyby, pokud již produkt úspěšně fungoval.

  • Konfigurační soubor projektu (např. *.OPF nebo *.XML)
